Summary of the CARES Act Paycheck Protection Program SBA Loans
Congress recently passed the $2+ trillion dollar Coronavirus, Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act stimulus package. The CARES Act is over 800 pages and many of us are trying to figure out if and how it applies to us.
Join us as we discuss the Act. Specific focus will be on the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) that will be administered by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and on the expanded Unemployment Benefits the Act offers.
Ben Klassen, Business Transactions Attorney for law firm Winthrop & Weinstine, will describe what we need to know about the Act.
In addition, Study Group members Daniel Posanski, In-House Attorney for US Venture in WI, and Tate Seideman, General Counsel at Fikes Wholesale, will discuss other legal issues impacting petroleum marketers such as force majeure, franchise contracts, landlord/tenant laws, etc.
Please send in advance to Jed Brewer any specific questions you have for these experts. Brewer will compile them and do his best to have the panelists address them.
The complimentary webinar is designed for owners, Ops, finance, HR, and those looking to best respond to this emerging threat. Jed Brewer will moderate the call. The webinar is co-sponsored by Study Groups and The Below the Line Club and will last approximately one hour. We invite you and/or members of your team to participate.
